  1. Of course they are not. Putin just doubled down. At this point I think he knows all is ruin, and he just wants to punish Ukraine for it.

  2. Putin has lost. Admitting defeat and withdrawing Russian troops is going to end up with his removal, disgrace, and hopefully persecution; continue this madness is going to end up with his removal, disgrace, and hopefully persecution. For a so called master strategist and tactician, he sure knows how to play himself to a corner. The tragedy is this isn’t a video game, his failure is combined with suffering of countless others.

  3. I think he would rather start a nuclear war then back out without anything. Destroy the world for his flimsy sick pride

  4. Russia mobilizing is Putin’s attempt to stall his loss long enough for his strategy of starving Europe of fossil fuel to take effect. This winter will be shitty for Europe, but Putin has overestimated his leverage here.

  5. It’s hard to take him seriously, he’s like a school bully who says he’s going to kick your ass then runs a mile the moment you pick up a rock.

  6. I almost wish someone would invade them to displace a despot tyrannical ruler and liberate the populace – not having an army and needing to drag people off the streets sure doesn’t give much of an impression that you’ve got much of a defensive force.
