  1. >Prosecutors said Wednesday that 3-year-old Josiah Brown was pushed Monday afternoon into Lake Michigan by his “beloved aunt” who then stood by as he sank to the lake bottom off Chicago’s Navy Pier, where divers found him a half-hour later.

    this woman is cold hearted.

  2. [Link to another article at the Chicago Sun-Times](https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2022/9/21/23364964/navy-pier-victoria-moreno)

According to this article at the Sun-Times, this woman had taken a bunch of kids off on another field trip shortly before this one, but one of the kids felt something was off and managed to contact a parent and provide their location.

Apparently the toddler’s dad was in and out of the hospital with congestive heart failure, and this woman took advantage of relatives being otherwise occupied before taking the toddler and a relative’s truck to go off without anyone realizing. This … is not good. It seems like there are serious mental or emotional issues here.

  3. Shoving a kid into Lake Michigan sounds like she pushed a kid into a pool or something.

Attempted drowning of kid in Lake Michigan would be more apt

  4. So she pushed her toddler nephew into a lake then stood around watching for 20 minutes? Yeah, I don’t think bail is the right choice either. Water boarding might be.

Sad that he’s not likely to survive this horror.

  5. What does one have to go through to be that shit to shove a 3 year old. Into a lake at that. Throw the book at that loser and get her some mental help. She clearly isn’t right in her head.

  6. Okay time to go hug my kids. Fucking hell dude.

I feel bad when I eat the last of the peanut butter and this soulless coldhearted evil reptilian demon bitch over here shoved a three-year old and watched him drown.

This woman has no place in this world anymore.

  7. My nephew is 3. Right now, I want nothing more than to scoop him up in a huge bear hug. I can’t imagine even *thinking* of doing this to him.

  8. Why the fuck did no one try and jump in to save him? 🙁 I would have in a heart beat. I grew up in Chicago, I’ve done the polar bear plunge, the water doesn’t scare me, there’s no sharks. Wtf people.

  9. The article I read this morning, last week the lady took several of the kids without permission. She’s probably jealous of the kids preferential treatment. But someone should have slept with the car key in their pocket. They knew full well she was a danger.

The mental health system is so fcked. But I realize it’s just humans being humans. People will die along the way. Poor baby.

  10. When my first nephew was born, I knew I would do anything to keep him safe. Literally anything. I now have 9 nieces and nephews and they are literally my whole world as I am unable to have my own children yet. I feel physically ill. I literally cannot comprehend how an aunt could do this. I hope she rots in prison.

  11. I have 28 nieces and nephews. Never once have I considered hurting them physically or emotionally. Some of them are big jerks, but they’re adults. I still would never hurt them. A three-year-old is sweet and inquisitive. WTF would have prompted this woman to do such a heinous thing?

  12. > The child’s grandfather, Dan Brown, told WLS-TV on Tuesday that the family needs “a lot of prayer right now.”

    > “Everybody’s prayer helps,” Brown said. “God makes things happen. That’s what we are banking on right now.”

This shit sounds so absurd from the other side of the world.

  13. oh my god. I have a 2 year old nephew that is the light of my life. I couldn’t ever imagine hurting a hair on his head. this lady is evil.

  14. Take her out to a huge body in a boat throw her out in a huge body of water where there is nothing for miles and throw her in. Observe her and if she makes it back to the boat throw her back in and leave her out there.

  15. If the toddler dies, and I know that this is going to be a very controversial take from me, just take her out back and put her down. With that many people who saw her do it there’s no chance that it’s going to be an accidental execution just fucking get rid of her she’s not worth keeping around.
