Which coach got fired, but totally didn’t deserve it?
Jim harbaugh. 4 years, no losing record, 3 nfc championship appearances and one super bowl appearance.
FUCK TRENT BAALKE
Marty Schottenheimer after an 8-8 record
Fuck you Snyder
Marty Schottenheimer, Chargers.
It’s Harbaugh. Maybe Schottenheimer
Harbaugh but honourable mentions to Marty Schottenheimer beind droped by the Chargers after going 14-2 and losing in the divisonal round
Marty Schottenheimer after going 14-2 was insanity.
A lot of Jims. Harbaugh, Caldwell, Johnson
Marty in DC and SD….
Marty Schottenheimer! Great season and got fired! I was stunned!
I think that it gets overlooked because the replacement worked so well, but I’ve always felt like Jim Haslett got judged a bit unfairly for the 05 season with Katrina. I don’t think any team led by anyone would have performed well given the circumstances.
Marty Schottenheimer with the Chargers but also with the Browns after a 10-6 season.
It wasn’t an unfair firing in the way that you want, but maybe the Falcons should have kept Reeves or hire someone a bit more stricter with a better work history than Mora. Mora and Vick was not a good combo.
If the bucs wouldnt have won the sb in 02 id say dungy
Different sport but Dwane Casey was named NBA coach of the year and got fired a few weeks later which is kind of unintentionally hilarious
Lovie from Chicago
When Marty was the coach of the Browns he made the playoffs all four seasons he was there including three divisional titles and got fired.
Imagine reading that with a Browns coach today.
Goes to show this sub is young adults as everyone is saying Jim Harbaugh. He coach 2011-2014 for the 49ers. OP asked all time firing.
That would go to Jimmy Johnson. Won Super Bowls back to back 1992 and 1993 just to get canned from Jerry because of a rocky relationship.
Lovie Smith’s firing from the bucs was pretty undeserving imo.
Jimmy Johnson cowboys
George Seifert. Was let go after a 12-4 season and a 98-30 overall record and two Super Bowl wins with the 49ers.
George Seifert? Won a ton of games, a Super Bowl, near dynasty territory. But he wasn’t Bill Walsh.
Haven’t seen this one yet. But how about Jack Del Rio from the Raiders? Had a pretty good season just to be canned for Gruden, if I recall correctly?
Andy Reid’s contract not being renewed in Philly?
Showing my age here, but I will always take a dim view of Jerry Jones. The way he dumped Tom Landry exemplifies what a classless guy he is. Yes, the game wa changing, and it may have been time to move on. But the way that was handled just put me off forever.
Jim Caldwell on the Colts **AND** the Lions.
**Records With Colts:**
2009-2010: 14-2 (Lost in SuperBowl)
2010-2011: 10-6 (Lost in Wildcard)
2011-2012: 2-14 (HOF QB cut with no real plan to replace him. Sacrificed to get Luck)
**Record with Lions:**
2014-2015: 11-5 (Lost in Wildcard)
2017-2018: 9-7 (Fired and replaced with Patricia…)
Overall Winning Percentage with Lions: .563 (Best Percentage for Lions coach since 1950).
Marty Schottenhemer from Washington in 2001. Going in to the season he told Snyder this was a five year rebuild. Started out 0-5, then 5-5 and finished 8-8.
He was fired at the end of the season because Snyder “wasn’t having any fun”.
George Allen by the Los Angeles Rams, In the 1970’s.
Mooch won his division and was fired and that sent us into a tailspin for the rest of the decade
Hue Jackson. Should have let us seen how bad it could really get
Jerry Jones firing Jimmy Johnson to hire Barry Switzer was criminal. Not only had JJ won two Super Bowls in three years with a team he built. The star QB of the Cowboys, Troy Aikman had transferred away from Oklahoma for UCLA because he hated Switzer so much.
Jim Caldwell meshed really well with Stafford and was exactly what the Lions needed after hothead Jim Schwartz. Then we hired Patricia🤦🏾♂️.
Not the most undeserved ever but caldwell getting fired after posting a winning record with the lions was kind of a joke. Like, you think you could do a better job? Your team is ass bro this guy limped you in to the finish and you reward him with a pink slip? Unsurprsingly, the lions have done fuck all since.
Which Lions coach got fired after going 9-7 a few years ago?
