[PFF] Justin Herbert on 4th down vs the Raiders: ⚡️ 6/6 ⚡️ 106 yards ⚡️ 1 TD ⚡️ 158.3 perfect passer rating
Fine way to end the season.
Probably want to defend better than that on 4th down.
This is like the Reddit equivalent of saying:
“sorry no moneys I hope this will do 🏅”
And a BIG FAT L
Plus [whatever the fuck this fucking shit is on the 2pt conversion](https://youtu.be/w3HKcG5WSi8?t=778). Dude was clutch as hell, I am not looking forward to having this asshole in my division
(but I am looking forward to everyone picking the Chargers as a “dark horse” this offseason . . . like always)
but quarterbacks win games right
He’s gotta win the comebacks though if he’s going to be as good as Derek Carr.
I’m so confused by the Chargers. So much talent yet they always seem to disappoint.
amazing. He has the entire offseason to appreciate them numbers too
That coach is never going to punt again.
So he was
28/58, 48% Completion, 277 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 66.52 Passer Rating on 1st-3rd down.
Seems not good.
What about the first 3 downs?
The Raiders defense is doomed in the playoffs.
That was the craziest drives I’ve ever seen. His receivers refused to catch the ball until 4th down.
Justin Herbert going to approach the competition committee with a proposal borrowed from baseball. When they get the ball they can just flash four fingers to a ref and it’ll just be 4th down.
This was the anti-Bears game – they went 1-6 on 4th down against the Vikings. I know their game didn’t matter but holy shit they did a terrible job with their conversions.
Has he tried completing passes on the first three downs?
This dude was 0-3 in the first 3 downs lmao
Yeah dude wanted the game so bad, he willed his team back into the game. Really doubt the 4th down attempt and conversions will be broken, he was in a very unique situation. Some of it was bad defense, but Herbie was like Curry going nuclear last night.
Now Staley is really regretting that run on 4th at his own 18
Was rooting for y’all Charger bros. Hope to see that SB run next year.
Lord knows the Washington Commanders ain’t making it
A win would have been nice
A win would have been nicer
Blows my mind that there are still Dolphins fans who think that he’s overrated.
If we only had a run defense.
It’s going to be one of the most improbable heroic 4th Q and OT (or most incredible defensive implosion) in NFL history that gets forgotten about because of the loss.
A worthy effort, but futile.
This is just going to galvanize Staley’s 4th down decision making.
This dude is nuts. His WRs and tight ends were absolute dog shit. He laser focused on an area of the field he liked, Brady style, and went back to it literally like 18 times on one of those drives. This kid had a cannon, makes great decisions, is mobile and has no fear. He’s an absolute stud.
The last drive of regulation took 5 years off of my life. I watched with my dad and we were just pacing around the room. It was terrible.
Now he can go home and think about how good that game was for six months.
My answer to “Which QB would you want on 4th and long?” is now Justin Herbert
pre draft i wasn’t sold on herbert. i never really liked oregon qbs in the nfl (just like ohio st) but this man ballin these past couple yrs and if they get the right pieces for him it’s gonna be scary bein in this division with mahomes
He’s so damn good
Having to constantly convert on 4th down to stay in the game is not a good thing.
