[Patrick] #Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is rumored to have interest in becoming the next #Vikings head coach
tons of cowboys fans are down on him this season, and i fall on that side of the coin.
EDIT: so many people saying “you wouldn’t be saying that if he were staying!!!!” but anyone who saw a game thread or talked to a cowboy fan this season would know that wasn’t the case.
if i were to try to make an analogy, it’s like you gave someone a ferrari, and that person drove it for 2 months, drove it really fast, and only dinged the right rear rim of the car. yes, it’s very cool that he didn’t crash. it’s cool he didn’t drive it into the ocean. it’s cool he didn’t spin it and it’s cool he didn’t get it towed. But is it really “impressive”? Is driving a fast car pretty fast indicative of the person behind the wheel or the car itself?
the truth is, against regular (non-pathetic-NFCE competition), more often than not the offense sputtered. the run game has been rough all year. for long stretches the playcalling was safe, or bizarre, or bizarrely safe. in games where a defense was able to establish even the smallest amount of pass rush and even the smallest amount of run defense, the offense was stagnant — often for several series in a row.
I hope he stays because I generally like him and he’s done a good job. But I won’t cry if he leaves, and I don’t think any other Dallas fan would either.
Fwiw, I too am interested. Mostly for the pay
Don’t do this, he’s not great
He reminds me of a wax statue of Ben Affleck left under a heat lamp for a couple hours.
IN A BOLD MOVE..I TOO HAVE THROWN MY HAT INTO THE RING.
This is just a random fan account.
According to skip bayless Kellen Moore is more of the coach than McCarthy is obviously skip is a numb skull so how do Dallas fans feel about that is it true?
When the HC and QB are from the same draft year…
Moore wants to stay at an indoor stadium instead of freezing his balls off in East Rutherford or at Soldier Field.
This thread is fascinating, every comment is downvoted.
I will say this: I would rather get someone exciting and strike out, than pull in someone who’s already proven they are not the answer. Kellen Moore over Vance Joseph, for example.
Avid football watcher cousinbalki is also rumored to have interest in becoming an NFL head coach.
I think Jerry is a key litmus test. Everyone knows Jerry gets attached to his guys, if he doesn’t fight to keep Kellen then maybe he’s not the guy (yet).
Holy shit yes
I’m now of the age when I still think of his goofy ass suited up for Boise State and running hilarious trick plays in those undefeated teams.
As a Boise State and Packers fan I think I might jump off a bridge.
Please. We really need an offensive coach who can properly take advantage of all the talent on the roster.
BREAKING: Man Interested In Promotion
Kellen, I want you to staaaaayyyyyy.
He would be leaving an offense with an embarrassment of riches to another offense with an embarrassment of riches with more control over football operations. Why wouldn’t he want that job lol
Y’all think Moore is gonna be the next hot head coach, but I’m not sold he’ll ever be anything other than a really good OC.
If he were so damn awesome, Jones would be doing anything to keep him. The fact he thinks McCarthy is worth keeping over him is a big deal
Can you fuckers stop stealing our legit coordinators for your head coaching jobs? First Zimmer and now Moore.
Speaks well of Kirk Cousins when the hottest available OC wants to coach him.
Almost like he’s a pretty damn good quarterback.
Why shit on Moore? The Cowboys admittedly have an explosive offense when shits going right. People really think Mike fucking McCarthy is responsible for that?
If I’m hiring a coach, I’m not hiring a dude who was a HC prior and shit didn’t go right. I’m rolling the dice on a new guy with fresh ideas. You might crash and burn, but that’s the game.
Go for the high risk, high reward guy and if I’m that doesn’t work, go for another one.
Moore is out to avenge McCarthy
That’s a good gig imo
I’m rumored to disagree
