  1. Huh, so that’s the motivation to have a weird alternate in-app browser. I always figured it was to minimize usage leakage from the app. I suppose both reasons play a role though…

  2. When is everyone going to understand that corporations liked Facebook will literally do anything and everything they can regardless of morals or ethics as long as it’s self serving. The only reason they don’t use literal slaves is because they aren’t allowed to. Zero moral compass and they will continue until they are abolished.

  3. It is long over due that meta and zuck are finally held accountable for their profits-and -power-at-any-cost business model.

  4. If Apple took privacy seriously, they’d ban Facebook from iPhone over this. Of course they only care about money so they won’t do that

  5. Sounds like they may have broken California’s internet privacy laws. If you opted out and they still track you, might be something the California Atty. Gen should look into.

  6. This is a case of ask for forgiveness. They’ll make money from this behavior than what they’ll be forced to pay.

  7. You gotta be nuts to install Meta apps on your phone at this point. And its not like Apple is suing because they don’t want iPhone users tracked…Apple just wants to be the only one tracking iPhone users and selling that sweet, sweet personal info.
