Just your friendly reminder to not pre-order games
No related posts.
I just bought a game 42 years after its release. Am I safe?
Preordering rewards good marketing, not good game development.
I was so confused when I booted this game up on launch day for the first time. I was like haha where is everything
Used to be perks for preordering games, now you get a skin at best. Whatever happened to demos? That was a great way to see if you would like a game or not.
Don’t even buy them on release day.
Me rn actively waiting for Arceus reviews before buying
I’m still waiting on that PS5 upgrade
Whole group of Neds
But Elden Ring is the exception, right?
i actually enjoyed cyberpunk, but only on my first playthrough, it doesnt have good replayability imo. The different origin choices doesnt matter at all, as only the linear prolouge effects it in a very very small way. But i played it on a brand new pc with a 2060, so imo you have to have a good pc with good graphics to enjoy it
Don’t regret preordering cyberpunk at all. Game was great on pc and one of the best games I’ve played in the past 5 years.
Still as broken as it was it’s in my top 10 favorite games. I spent so much time in this game. So much fun. It’s also getting a few awards as well. Nice to see it getting recognized instead of blind hate.
I don’t know one tick toc trend later and my morning commute could see a bunch of identical space hipsters with golden foil jackets all on there way to get a personalized coffee from bucksstare.
>didnt watch a single trailer
>only knew about the game from memes on reddit
>expected a buggy game like anything from Bethesda
>rest of the game was still good
A friendly reminder that these posts are boring and unoriginal
Not a great reminder since my playthrough looked like the top screen.
My experience was the top half of the photo. I have a pretty good pc though.
They honestly did tho.
Like if you ignore the civilians, the way the city is laid out, the scale, how different it looks street to street, the city itself is by far the most believable and impressive I’ve ever seen.
This game has a lot of issues but it’s world design is top notch
Friendly reminder that I’ll do what I like with my money.
Yup, pre ordering Fallout 76 convinced me not to pre order starfield no matter how intense the FOMO gets.
I pre-order a game every time someone on this sub complains about pre-ordering games
You know what I pre ordered Forbidden West so fuck you
I don’t even buy on release day anymore. Better to wait til all the bugs are patched out a month or so later.
“Cheese burgers?” “Byeah.”
Im still waiting for some random youtuber to give the green light to buy. “You know, this game got a lot of flack when it first came out, and for good reason. But it’s actually kind of great now!” Okay thank you. Good way to start 2028
Me waiting for horizon forbidden west patiently even though horizon was one of my top 5 games of the ps4
I got u, but if theres a game I know Im going to get, for example gran turismo 7 for my racing sim, id rather get the preorder so i get all the extra content.
Even if its glitchy or whatever, i know theyll eventually fix it, and ill still have the extra stuff.
But on a theoretical level, i do agree, any new type of game i wait til its released and ive seen good unbiased gameplay of it
Years of goodwill built up evaporated in a matter of days. Quite the accomplishment.
Yes and no i mean weather i buy elden ring now or in a month when it comes out doesnt change anything
I will never not pre order a game I will buy regardless.
Skyrim was made a decade earlier
i’m preordering 69 copies of god of war. fk off
Some people preorder to be able to pay in smaller increments. Not everyone can afford to throw away $60/70 in a single trip
