It was actually $300k
You don’t do the right thing to be rewarded financially, you do the right thing because it’s the right thing…
what the hell is Nelly doing with $300K in cash?
and how the hell did he *LOSE* it??
Nelly came out and said it never happened. https://www.google.com/amp/s/people.com/music/nelly-denies-claim-lost-300k-rewarded-woman-with-100-dollars/%3famp=true
$100 and peace of mind you won’t hear a knock in the middle of the night for that duffle bag.
I would be tempted to return the bag with a bunch of hand-written IOUs in it, Dumb and Dumber style.
Imagine finding 300k and then keeping it, no ordinary people are running around with 300k dufflebags.
Going to have someone dangerous showing up on your doorstep in the middle of the night looking for that money lol
The difference between right and wrong is:
Finding 300k without knowing who it belongs to, keep it.
Finding 300k and you know that person who lost it, return it.
there’s a Mexican saying that goes “el que no tranza no avanza” which basically means “he who doesn’t cheat doesn’t move forward”
About 40 years ago my BIL owned a club in Milwaukee. He found a bank bag with about $90K in it, all rolled up in rubber bands. He knew legit businesses didn’t prep their cash for deposit like that, so he just kept his mouth shut about it. Sure enough, the next day a couple of mob guys come in looking for their bank bag. He just handed it over the counter to them. They didn’t say shit, he didn’t say shit. About a week later a guy comes in, asks for him by name and hands him $5K in cash and walks out.
When I was working at a private country club in college, during a pro tournament someone left a billfold with $700 in hundees at their table, no ID, no nothing, just the cash. I called my manager, told her how much was in it and put it under the register. A couple of hours later, a young golf pro comes in swearing up a blue streak that someone stole his wallet. I asked him to describe it and he immediately accuses me of stealing it. I pull it out from under the register and hand it to him and he immediately starts counting the money, claiming there was over $2000 in it. That prick spent half a day trying to get me fired.
I assume she kept the coke though
Aight, do you, but when you get some 6’7 motherfucker pulls up on you a d demands the money back, don’t say a word. Integrity is a good thing.
He actually commented on the post about it. calling it all 🧢
300K is “owner might kill witnesses” money, good Samaritan or not. Change out the bag and/or get lost.
OP says 30k while all the comments say 300k…
Listen, i aint sry…. But if i find a random bag with 30k in it please believe im keepin it. Ima hold on to it for a while b4 i spend it though incase someone comes lookin for it. 30k would completely get me out of debt. Student loans, car payment and some.
This is my literal fantasy ever since that episode of Hey Arnold when I was a kid
It ain’t her money. It ain’t her’s to keep. If they catch her doing this shit, it’s the slammer, goddammit. This whole “if I ain’t gon be instantly rewarded, then I aint gon do it” mentality tires the ever-living shit outta me, man
I’m broke, but not morally bankrupt. There has to be a line.
if you’re expecting a hefty sum in return for returning something indispensable you’re not “returning” or doing a kindness, you’re lowkey extorting
She literally fumbled the bag
I woulda been rewarded with 300k
Even if this was real, you can’t just deposit 300k in your bank lmao. You basically have 300k of groceries because to do anything worthwhile you’d have to launder it
Seems like broke and dishonesty is the theme tonight.
Money belonging to an ordinary schmo like me? I’m returning it and not expecting a reward.
Money belonging to a multi-millionaire? Finders keepers, should have deposited it somewhere 😂
I’m not returning a bag with 300k in it, and I’m not keeping it either. I’d rather not be dead thanks lmao
Of fucking course this is from Atlanta 😂. This city stay wildin
Doing the right thing merely for hopes of being rewarded is actually not doing the right thing. Hope people can distinguish the difference between the two.
