  1. [NASA link](https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2022/new-webb-image-captures-clearest-view-of-neptune-s-rings-in-decades) since I was on mobile and had to switch to desktop to find it.

    Also is there a better resolution image than this (from above link)? [1.8M .png](https://www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/thumbnails/image/for_stsci_site_imagec-neptunezoom.png). Guess not since it’s a “zoom”.

    But it’s fascinating. Ancient astrology (don’t stone me) had neptune as the planet of dreams. How much dreamier could this image look? And how were the ancients able to see it, to get the inspiration? Atlantis’ telescopes?

  2. gorgeous. ever since I was a kid, space info has always given me a massive sense of awed sadness. I’m in absolute awe and utterly interested in learning facts about the ongoing discoveries of space, but so so sad I’ll never see any of it.
