    Today’s lesson in authenticity…

    Dave Sims

  2. How do you do, fellow Mariners fans?

  3. Great call by Simms

  4. Beautiful 😍 Not even a big Mariners fan, but got chills with that clip. Love some good energy!

  5. I’m so happy for Dave, he has watched so much miserable baseball and kept the enthusiasm

  6. I love how sims is so hyped lol

Who knew I was a Dave Sims stan!

  8. Whenever I heard that voice I pictured a fat white guy

  9. I love Dave.

Met him in 2016 when the M’s played the Cubs at Wrigley. After the game we ran to where the visitor busses loaded and he was among the first people walking out of the clubhouse. He walked over to us, shook everyone’s hands, asked us where we were from, if we were having fun, and how long we’ve followed the Mariners. He said he loves seeing M’s fans on away trips and thanked us all for coming.

He can be a goofball in the booth (which I really enjoy), but Dave Sims is a class act who loves baseball, loves his job, and *loves* the Seattle Mariners.

  10. Zero fandom normally for the Mariners but that puts a big fucking smile on my face

  11. The only thing that could have made last night better is if Dave Niehaus was alive to call the game.

  12. Can’t get much better than that.

  13. Til Dave Sims is black

  14. I love his hat

Great call by Sims, I feel the color guy hurt it a bit though

  15. Baseball at it’s best, man

  16. Normally I don’t like Sims’ style of calling a game. From a visiting fan perspective, he basically is rooting for the Mariners in his dialogue, but I’ve come to the understanding that it comes from a place of joy for him doing his job and his love for the Mariners. I happy he gets to call this moment and Neihaus is saying My Oh My! from the big broadcast booth in the sky

  17. Hey Now! shirts selling like toilet paper in 2020

  18. Easily my favorite announcer in baseball. You can tell he really cares about the team and the players really wish the rangers had someone similar.

  19. Love watching Mariners games for a few reasons, one of them being to listen to Dave Sims call a game. Thinking of active game callers, Dave is one of the best!

This is what I was waiting for

  21. Big fan of him turning into Hank Kingsley for a moment.

  22. Grew up listening to Dave Sims alongside Ed Coleman on WFAN. Love this video.

  23. That call was awesome! Absolute professional. Happy the M’s got a spot at the table after such a long lay off.
