Back in May of this year, a video went viral from Austin Texas showing officers pummeling 22-year-old Elisha Wright. Officers claimed Elisha had struck an officer and caused damage, and charged him with it. Those charges violated his probation. Bodycam proved that was a LIE

  1. It will truly be a step forward when the “alL PolItIcIaNs LiE” crowd finally comes around and recognizes that LEOs lie just as much, if not more, than politicians. Further, we have mechanisms, in theory, to hold politicians accountable (e.g elections). Meanwhile, we are only just now beginning to establish mechanisms (e.g. cell phones) to hold police accountable.

  2. Why do they “both sides” every single thing? Here we have video proof APD lied to violate this guy’s civil rights, and instead of saying that the anchor says “the bodycam video does not completely follow the police report narrative”. Yep, that’s because the cops made it up.

  3. ACAB, man. It’s so important to expose these things. Also can be dangerous to do it, so bravo to the victim for standing up to the bullies.
