Aww how candy… oh no!
I read somewhere that previous kidney donators will have priority in case their other kidney fails, so them donating their bad kidney might actually be beneficial to them in the future since they have priority to receive a good kidney
Kidney failure can also be a result from vascular or cardial diseases
I have a feeling the doctor who screened them for organ donation took this into account.
Should’ve donated those kidneys to Dad then 😂
Aren’t kidneys removed from your back?
at least they don’t have a kidney to fail now
Kidney failure is t necessarily congenital.
Good news for donors in the US is you go to the top of the list if you end up needing a kidney
Not necessarily, Dad could’ve been an alcoholic or had heart disease.
From my understanding, if you’re going to lose one kidney, you’ll likely lose both, so it’s not like it’s worth holding onto one of them “just in case”
I doubt very seriously that a hospital would take a potentially bad organ.
Their father’s kidney issue may have had nothing to do with genetics.
But, but, they got a bunch of likes? Isn’t that how we judge decisions in society now?
Not all are matches. My uncle when through it but didn’t match with any of his kids.
It’s like those people who get diagnosed with a hereditary cancer and immediately think oh yes I should definitely have a baby quickly before chemo makes me infertile. Because this is MY last chance for ME to be happy because it’s all about ME ME ME ME ME.
Story time: back in early 2000s my brother was killed in a car accident. He was an organ donor on his license… years later I met someone that said there was word that hospitals were taking viable organs from young people in these severe circumstances and there was a huge lawsuit… my brothers organs were taken were vital organs for him to survive.
Do not allow your children to be organ donors- you have no fucking idea what they will or will not do.
Yes I understand medically they do what is best- and maybe my brother was going to die either way- but he’s definitely dead without his organs. I also understand that there are ethics – I’m not saying everyone in the medical field is out to get your organs…
I’m not an organ donor and will never be. I don’t want that to be up to someone else. Sorry if you are pro organ swapping… it’s weird and unless it’s my child or family member- not happening.
This is a double edged sword. Now when their only kidney inevitably fails they’ll be fucked, and when the kidney they donated fails the person they gave it to will be fucked.
That’s not where kidneys are
They kept the good ones
Some millionaire needed those organs
studying/sleeping on the floor gang where are you?
They go to the front of the line, if there is a problem.
Must rid yourself of the family curse
Lowkey funny tho?
I’m guessing they had a doctor check to make sure they weren’t infected with whatever their father had.
