  1. 1. Realize that individual actions can never be more than baby steps.
    2. Demand that fossil fuels be outlawed, no matter the taxes required to do it.
    3. Know that the rich world is deeply in debt to the poor world for creating this mess, pumping far more CO2 into the air than even China has, so it’s up to worst offenders like the US and Europe to fund solutions.

  2. Adopt a vegan diet.

I don’t mean to be annoying and preachy here, but literally nothing you can do as individual (e.g. aside from partaking in collective group action, which is also important) will have a greater impact on sustainability than forgoing meat and animal products. Additionally, you’ll spare countless living creatures from a life of pain and servitude!

  3. Go vegan.

    1. Find a billionaire.

    2. Shake them until they change things.

  5. If you could eat the rich that would go a long way.

  6. Go vegan, don’t fly, don’t drive, don’t have kids

Go Vegan. Yes, I have prepared for the downvotes. Continue on with your cognitive dissonance, everyone.

  10. I do the basics. Reuse, Reduce Recycle. Vegetarian. How do I step it up?

  11. Organize in political groups for the overthrow of the international capitalist system? …please?

  12. 1. Vote
    2. Vote
    3. Vote

  13. Tell all the politicians who pretend to care about climate change to start acting like it’s real. Private flights, beach houses….. Their actions don’t align with their words

Then it will be never because the main factors (oil companies, plastics, etc) will not change under this economic model.

  15. I’m going with never.

  16. There is actually one thing you can do to reduce suffering by a lot: Don’t get children.

That’s the most a single human being without a position of power or a billion dollars can do

  17. [deleted]

  18. I think it was actually pre-industrial revolution or never. Unless someone is going to step up and take on the Thanos role and starve most of the world’s population to death.

  19. The best thing you can do is vote for institutional change. Advocate for and vote for politicians who support ending our reliance on fossil fuels and oppose animal agriculture.

“Now or Never” was 30+ years ago. Best we can do now is hospice for the planet.

Buckle up, cause it’s only going to get worse.

  21. “as an individual” you can boycott the corporations that are actually responsible for carbon emissions.

  22. 1. Cherish every moment you have left with your loved ones

  23. As an individual the most important thing you can do is start to prepare for the future. This should also mean becoming involved in your community. Different places are and will continue to experience climate change. We’re in the same storm, but not the same boat. What can you do to help you family, friends, and neighbor as sea levels rise? As hurricanes increase? As droughts and wildfires increase? The time to stop climate change was 40 years ago and we’re already seeing it’s effects. Learn how you can prepare yourself and your family and your neighbor for more extreme events. Do you know where cooling centers are for the homeless population? Do people know how to get food at the food pantry? Do you have a few extra 55 gallon drums of water set aside to share with your neighbor when municipal water treatment plants lose power for the third time in a year?

It’s here baby. Short of overthrowing capitalism (which would be rad, but like, I don’t see that happening in the needed time frame!), prepare yourself, your family, and your community.

  24. Don’t eat meat

    Don’t fly

Get a bike/e-bike for short trips

Go vegan. It does more than all other choices (selling the car, turning the heater down, insulating your house etc) combined for a normal person. Animals take soooo much energy to grow, and they waste most of it on heat. It’s like growing 10 times as much food as you need, then burning 90 percent of your harvest and calling it a day.

  26. And thanks to biden just launched an investigation of chinese manufactured solar panels being transferred to other countries to avoid tariffs. If they go through its expected to make solar cost 50-250% more. Says hes so green but then does this shit. Im all for local manufacturing but the US cannot keep up just yet. Converting to renewable resources should be subsidized not tariffs. What an idiot.

    1. Buy directly from companies rather than Amazon
    2. Buy nothing you don’t actually need.
    3. Learn the difference between wants and needs.

  28. Pour water into the tanks of any gas guzzlers you can access safely

  29. literally nothing. Until China, India, and most US Corporations start caring, the Burdon should not be on individuals.

  30. Not my individual problem. Where is the accountability of the corporations and policy makers? Fuck this.

I’m sorry y’all, it’s all my fault. I just had 200,000 burgers for lunch and then got in a 2hr power shower after running the water for 45 minutes to mask the sound of my agony as I pooped.

  32. You can own what is yours. The water, the air, the land, that belongs to you and you are allowing others to pollute it without protest. Protest. Loudly.

  33. Stop paying attention to the UN.

  34. Ignore them. Dont litter. Support nuclear.

  35. armed insurrection
