  1. Hiroshima/Nagasaki accounts are real shit terrifying

  2. The stuff of nightmares that could come true one day. Truly scary.

  3. I didn’t get it, could someone explain?
Edit: Okay, but what is this “Marko polo game”?

  4. I’ve been to the Peace Museum in Hiroshima and the wax figures showing those in the blast is harrowing. Moreso when I got to hear the first hand account of a survivor who said those figures look healthy compared to what he saw

  5. I’ve frequented this sub for a number of years and this is the best 2 sentence horror I’ve seen. Real life horror is far more terrifying.

  6. It doesn’t have to be fiction to be horror. Well done.

  7. Wow this is amazing! Loved it (the prose, not really our impending doom)

  8. I read this as “Those of us still able to work slowly hobbled toward the town hall” and for a minute, thought we were in r/antiwork

  9. In middle school I was made to read a book about the hiroshima bombing, shit was terrifying for 12 year old me. I remember one part where the narrator grabbed someone’s hand to help them up or something, and the skin of their hand just slid off like a glove. The mental picture…

  10. That’s when I realized the people who flocked to where everyone knew ground zero weren’t the stupid ones after all.

As the bones of my legs began crumbling under me, my ‘sitter’ caught me and whispered the words that snapped me out of the bad trip…which completed the first and only time I tried peyote.

Thought this was about that scp “befor day breaks” i think its called

  13. Very good imagery!

Note: it’s vocal cords, not vocal chords.

  14. They should have NEVER removed the wax sculptures from the Hiroshima Peace Park Memorial museum

When I went to that museum at 18, I was shocked to my core to see realistic depictions of humans who are facing the nuclear fallout from the bombs…

I really dislike that they removed them. The whole trip was an eye opening experience

Fun fact: our tour bus driver to the park was a survivor of the bomb. When we got to this map of the city before and after the bomb, he walked up slowly, pointed a house, and solemnly said, “this was my house…”

Fucking heart breaking. Every American needs to see the evil we did there

  15. this is too real

  16. The visuals I got while reading this…really disturbing. Incredible descriptive writing. Really great horror. 🙂 well done @OP!!
