  1. I’m sorry, but how the heck did something like this even HAPPEN?

  2. Back when I still had a 16 GB phone I constantly had to reinstall discord because it wouldn’t take long for it to take up a GB in size.

  3. Delete and redownload I guess

  4. Learn something new every day.

I just move mine to my SD card since my 32gb phone has no room for anything besides the actual operating system, the preloaded bloatware that won’t move and can’t be deleted, and a handful of apps that WILL not move.

  5. Why does Discord not automatically clear its caches overtime?

What kind of phone is this? I’ve had Discord on my new A01 for six months and my cache is 55 MB.

    delete + reinstall discord

this is because of the magic power of ***caching***

basically every time a gif/image/avatar etc loads, discord caches it on your phone (basically stores it down) so that next time stuff loads faster. happens on both desktop and mobile. that cache is every single image and video etc youve ever looked at.

  16. Clear cache… Oh, iPhone…

  17. 😂

  18. That’s odd, my Discord seems to wipe its cache periodically since it’s only at 300MB rn and it’s never been uninstalled.

I suppose my word of advice would just be the same as everyone else’s – uninstall and reinstall the app then make sure you update it regularly.

  19. Ive had discord on my phone for over 3 years now and this never happened, how does that even happe

    delete and reinstall

  21. just delete ur cache

  22. That’s why you use an Android 😉

  23. Just make a back-up in your laptop or pc

  24. I bet some people on discord are offloading right now 😏 lol jk

  25. uninstall & reinstall because apple is clapped and doesn’t have a clear cache button

  26. apple monent

  27. This is discord’s cache, you can not remove it without jailbreak or any way of forcing cache flush (I am not aware of any ways to trigger it)

  28. ? rip connexion 3mbits/s

  29. clear the cache no need to delete, should be in discord settings

  30. So I have an iPhone too, went to storage to see how much I had, saw I had 6.8gb, tried tapping it to see if that would do anything, and now it’s 800mb? Idk if I’m a magician or it wasn’t reading the data correctly but I guess I freed 6gb

  31. Delete the app

I realized that my discord now takes up 4 GB and it’s basically from servers you join or data it collects so yea just leave any servers you may be joined too
