Tossed with a little bit of oil, garlic, salt, pepper. Cut side down in my 10″. Then roasted @ 375 for 30-40 minutes. Crisp exterior, but still soft inside.

  2. Oh yes I love roasted Brussels sprouts. Sometimes I just pan fry them with diced bacon and onion too. Add some paprika and crushed red pepper and garlic *chef’s kiss* mwuah.

  3. Pretty much my recipe except I add onions and garlic, and sprinkle them with Parmesan cheese.

  4. Gives you he best flavor but I tend to cook them in the air fryer because it’s faster and easier

  5. Those look amazing. 👍

  6. Hit them with a sweet balsamic vinegar and they will be even more amazing!

  7. My new method for dark veggies like brussels/asparagus/broccolini is to preheat the pan in the oven to like 450, toss the veggies with oil salt and pepper and then toss in the pan. You end up with a good sear on whatever is touching the pan but still nice browning overall, which can be difficult with round/branchy veggies.

  8. I just put 3 strips of bacon overtop of them and pepper everything

  9. Thank you for your picture post to /r/castiron. We want to remind everyone of Rule #3. All image posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is required.

If you’ve posted a picture of food, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

    Thank you!

  10. Try them deep fried in oil and see if your opinion changes

  11. There is no other way. Every other way is just wrong.

  12. OP this looks perfect! I love Brussels sprouts. But please for the love of all man kind don’t end up falling victim and ruin your Brussels sprouts like some others do by adding bacon, extra melted cheese, butter, cream sauces and many disgusting things to mask them. It’s crazy how so many people say they hate Brussels sprouts but then suddenly they love them once they see them prepared on the Food Network with all the unhealthy crap loaded onto them. They lose all nutrients and the purpose of eating them in the first place.

Of course people will love their most hated veggie once they cover it up with butter, bacon and cheese. And please do not ruin them by deep frying them either. They taste perfect just Steamed, Oven Roasted or Pan Roasted with olive oil, garlic and seasonings. They will maintain their healthy nutrients this way.

  13. My favorite way to cook them is add to crawfish boil. And whole mushrooms. Soaks up all that juicy goodness!

  14. This is the way. They look delicious and you may have persuaded me to make some this week!

  15. is there another way?

  16. Only way to go

Those look perfect! I didn’t know how much I like brussel sprouts until cooking them in the cast iron.

  18. This plus bacon fat, bacon bits and a lot of chopped garlic. I deglaze with some water cover and steam them for a bit at the end as well.

Always amazing, one of my favorite things.

  19. Needs more pancetta.

    This is the way.

  21. Protip, throw some fish sauce in with em while they sautee.

  22. I use this method too. It’s wonderful. I use bacon grease as the oil and use a finely diced green apple. The apple roasts and is a great contrast to the sprouts.

  23. I’m with you on that…I only use a dollop of bacon grease for flavor 🙂

  24. Hello there, my kitchen just yesterday.

  25. The only way imo

  26. You burn them?

  27. I love my cast iron but Brussels Sprouts flourish in the air fryer.
