1. Welded those pliers good as shit! Awesome job!

  2. Where’d he go?

  3. Look at how he hesitates; this isn’t being clueless, this is attempted suicide with an audience.

  4. Obviously his understanding of electricity was not up to current standards.

Some electricians are qualified to work with live power. He’s definitely not one of them

I’ve actually done this. I was helping my grandmother install a lamp. Fortunately I was using scissors with plastic handles. There was a bang and a big cut in the scissors afterwards. Never felt so stupid in my life.

Edit: I should probably add that I’m an engineer, believe it or not…

  7. Dude evaporated

  8. Just about every electrician that comes onto my jobsites wear’s a high visibility shirt and has a beard and ball cap like the guy sitting at the table. I can pretty confidently say he and camera man were electricians and knew what was about to happen.

  9. A comment actually stated that he had shut off the power but someone had went back and turned it on. He was seriously injured due to that person’s stupid decision and won a lawsuit.

  10. come on guys how this is possible? They don’t know how electricity works?

  11. Purple hoodie doesn’t even flinch.

    “whelp, told you so, boomer.”

  12. Wow. He really didn’t trust the science. So he became science.
Pretty that brownish cloud afterwards was vapourised copper. It looked neat.

  13. He got hit with the three-round burst

  14. Also known as surprise arc welding

and that, boys and girls, is why you call an electrician.

  17. Oh shit. This was doomed right from the start. No gloves, not the right pair of pliers and obviously no clue. This shortcut was no joke. Hope he gets a second life to continue his game of life with
    Better decisions.

  20. Me checking the sub to make sure if I’m on r/makemycoffin

  21. Did this a year or so ago while renovating a house. To be fair, the wire was dead about 3 feet down without any breaks in the wire. Was not a pleasant surprise.

Talked to my electrician and he basically went “yea it happens”

  28. Reminds me of when my dad was wiring the outlets in his house up, he insisted we keep the power on so he could make sure they where working right, and shocked himself about a dozen times trying to wire them.
