  1. Whoever painted that should be legally banned from owning wood furniture. Who sees that and thinks “it’d look a lot better with matte black paint”?

  8. Beautiful

  9. good work! What a difference!

  10. wow it’s a completely different dresser! good job!

  11. I never would have guessed that beautiful thing was under there!

  12. Being the cynical person I’ve become seeing pieces of furniture “upcycled” by painting them a different colour and furnishing them with mismatched handles, I didn’t expect much. I was gladly wrong on this account, you’ve done an absolutely wonderful job restoring a beautiful piece of furniture. Great work!

  13. It looks beautiful.

  14. Holy crap! The end result is stunning!

  15. Painting that beauty should be a criminal offence. Good job!

  16. Love this, beautiful job…

  17. Absolutely gorgeous!! Thanks for posting it. And saving it!!

  18. When scrolling I stopped after the first long drawer and it looked like a Furby face. Awesome job!

  19. Holy crap! That came out awesome!

  20. Oh thank god you didn’t paint it bright green and white like I keep seeing. It looks fantastic!

Now that was a candidate for refinishing. Nice job.

  22. Wow…that’s hot!

  23. Wow! Beautiful job

  24. Wow. The one decent post I’ve seen on this sub in the past few months. Every other post seems to be “help me identify this <IKEA> chair.” Excellent restoration – I applaud your actual refinishing of the wood as opposed to slathering it with paint and ruining it.

  25. Why do the handles look like furby mouths?

  26. so it was 10 dollars plus hundreds of dollars of labor and materials?

seems like you must make less than $75k to value your labor so lowly. have you graduated college yet?
