  1. He’s one of them. He has divided Australia, Great Britain and the United States with his media network that mainly dispenses lies and disinformation.

  2. He’s ruined my parents

  3. Rupert Murdoch, and what he allows his figureheads shout in the media, is dangerous to democracy.

The problem that I have with this news piece, is how CNN is only pointing out how Fox News is against Biden. But Fox News has been against any democrat for the past 30 years since thier inception.

Truth of of the matter is… Fox News is against anybody who is not of the conservative/republican/nationalist opinion.

And that’s what is dangerous, and that is what leads to Authoritarian rule.

  4. Murdoch is two things: Democracy’s worst nightmare and a perversion of the notion of free speech. He uses freedom of the press to corrupt the entire concept.

  5. Fox Entertainment?

  6. I don’t get why politicians dance around this topic. Biden is trashed on Fox News 24/7 with complete bullshit, he’s got no reason to pull punches.

  7. This has been known since before James Bond went after a Murdoch clone in *Tomorrow Never Dies*

  8. Look at that, one more thing I agree with Biden about.

  9. The bastard is 91. Ffs old evil pricks last forever.

He is. He gave us Trump.

  11. Rupert Murdoch is a man without a conscience.

  12. He’s right. Murdoch is responsible for radicalizing millions of idiots in the English speaking world.

  13. And I agree, one hundred percent. If the history of this age gets to be written, Rupert Murdoch will rise to the top as one of the most evil, soulless and despicable men of the era. The impact of his life is so overwhelmingly negative that I struggle to understand how he could be spawned by such a good and inspiring woman. And then I look at his father and say, oh, yeah, right. Him.

  14. He successfully radicalized millions in the English speaking world.

  15. Joe Biden is a pretty good judge of character.

Rupert Murdoch is a modern-day William Randolph Hearst but with much more capabilities and Hearst was able to single-handedly provoke the Spanish-American War in order to sell more newspapers.

  17. I do not necessarily disagree he without a doubt is in the top ten.

  18. So?

Are presidents not allowed to criticize the press?

[No modern president]( was more anti free press than Trump.

  19. He is.

  20. Between sucking up to Murdoch and blindly following America, Australia isn’t going to know what to do.

And fuck the reddit mods that continue to give Murdoch a platform to destroy democracy.

  24. Top 10 at least. From free speech to democracy he seems to be doing his best at destroying all..

  25. This is why TV anchors make in some cases more than $10M. Do they make this money because they’re so good at their jobs?..Or because they know they spout BS to push daddy Murdoch’s narratives?

  26. He’s definitely a Putin freind.

Not the entire world, but he’s definitely up there in the top ten for the millions of mostly white conservatives he’s radicalized around the world.

Sociopaths with enormous wealth and petty vendettas are nearly nuclear weapons.

Well; should have put in an AG that would do an anti-trust suit against someone with a monopoly on right wing media.

  31. He is correct

  32. He wields far too much power in Australia, for sure. It’s a pity his son is keen to take on Murdoch senior’s mantel.

    He’s not wrong.

  37. He ain’t wrong there.

This brings to mind that in the UK there was a highly regarded writer, TV dramatist and journalist by the name of Dennis Potter, he died from cancer of the pancreas in 1994. He absolutely **loathed** Rupert Murdoch and in 1993 described him as follows:

*”drivel-merchant, global huckster and so-to-speak media psychopath, Rupert Murdoch… Hannibal the Cannibal”*

Potter even named his cancer ‘Rupert’:,_last_interview_and_death

  38. It’s a well known fact Murdoch only wants to make money. He doesn’t have any morals and will cater to what audiences want to hear. He has come to realize that it is easiest getting money from the poorly educated conservatives that feel victimized and threatened.

That’s why his papers and ‘news’ networks cater to tue fear of “libs ruing the USA/Australia/UK”

  39. And he’d be right. Rupert Murdoch’s the little known head propagandist of the GOP and the associated far right network.,h_2662,c_limit/GettyImages-452255524.jpg

    ^ man’s dangerous as heck.

    FR :

He’s pretty much a real life shadow supervillain. I’m not saying Flemming actually wrote james bond’s ~~”dr no” or~~ [Eliott Carver]( after him, but you can see parrallels.
