  7. Suddenlink is literally garbage, their prices go up periodically with spontaneous fees, their Internet is fast at times, but overall pretty unstable, good choice

  8. At least it is made to look like an ad. I keep getting mail sent to my address with someone else’s name and they only accept my request to stop sending that crap if I identify myself, giving them *my* information.

    Since the letters are not addressed to me, I can’t legally open them, so I have to go through the annoyance of returning the mail from time to time unopened. They keep showing, though, but I am not giving them my name (it seems to be a subscription TV service company called Canaal Digital in the Netherlands, add them to your black list LOL).

    Ah yes, Sudden Stink! I have their internet, first one died, second was giving me 1/mbps speeds (We pay for gig), 3rd one (Same model as 2nd) would let devices connect minute after restart, and my family is on the 4th router. All within a month of time. Xfinity/Comcast is way better than this, but unfortunately none of that here. Either thing or (Un)Consolidated Communications which went dow nearly every day.

  17. I was getting similar letters from an internet provider I’ve never had, contacted, or anything. Apparently they got my name and address from the city public records and decided “let’s welcome this person to the city with anxiety inducing harassment mail!” I called asking them to stop and they said I had to go to their website, enter in my info, and specifically request to not receive mail. I was pretty annoyed. But so far no more mail from them

  20. I actually have a list. It used to be on my kitchen fridge, but now it’s filed away. It contains all the scammy companies, spammy companies, companies that tried to fuck me out of money, be it 1€ or 1000€, and more.

    I will never do business with any of those companies or their subsidiaries.

  23. I didn’t connect my tv to the net. My 4K one is what I use for gaming so I didn’t see any point. I still don’t, I can still get what’s being offered channel wise a different way. That also means I don’t get any of the shitty ads some companies have their tvs show.

    Had that company for about 10 years. They are Optum or Altice also.

    A litany of issues such as:

    * Constant Service outages
    * Wants to bill you for issues with lines from pole to pole (not your responsibility)
    * Will not trim trees on lines

    Just recently moved and tried to cancel my old service. The CSR demanded my new address when they don’t have service here. Would not give me a supervisor nor cancel my service. I do not want their junk mail for the next 30 years.

    I ended up having to contact BBB and “corporate” contacted me which was just another outsourced person. Hope it’s canceled but can’t really even be sure so just removed all of my billable information from their site.
