  1. F-22 always=upvote. There is nothing like it.

  2. The pilot’s physiology is the limiting performance factor, not the plane.

  3. Probably the most beautiful fighter ever made.

  4. I’m sorry I couldn’t hear you over how AWESOME that jet is!! Seriously though I thinks it gotta be the loudest fighter in active duty. Love when they fly outta Jax NAS, shakes the windows every time!

  5. Quick question: would it be possible to push these planes even more if they were ”drones” ? I suppose the pilot can only tolerate so much G forces.

  6. Anyone know how it would perform against Russia’s most advanced fighter?

  7. Mark has a way of taking the [demo profile](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrF0hikA3VY) and turning it into a work of art; sometimes it’s worth it to watch the demo in a slower speed like here.

  8. That cropped and stabilized video looks great.

  10. I’m a simple man: I see F-22, I click.

  11. Fun fact: Mark has a pretty wild set up. One tripod with a gimbal mount for two Canon cameras. One shoots stills, and the other shoots video. He has a red dot/holo sight on this set up so that he can use both eyes to track the plane and not lose sight of it. Hence the utter stability of his filming.

He shows it off somewhere in his instagram, too.

Edit: [Mark’s camera set up. ](https://www.instagram.com/p/CW8LB5qlmJf/?utm_medium=copy_link)

  12. That’s a pretty aircraft

  13. Do these jets have preset angles? Like 30°, 45°, 90° turns etc.? They are so precise. Or these pilots really damned trained.

  14. You see stuff like this, realize that it’s basically 30 year old tech at this point, and wonder how crazy NGAD is going to be.

  15. A gravity defying machine if ever there was one. Someone is getting paid to do that.

  16. The afterburner is almost ear-gasmic.

  17. It’s as beautiful as much as it’s deadly.

  18. Holy Gs

  19. Never seen the elevators moving, so close-up, great video.

  20. It’s insane how these planes can perform these maneuvers without ripping themselves apart

  21. Craziest thing is that this is limited by the pilot. Imagine a drone version, would be insane

  22. In the immortal words of Paris Hilton: “That’s hot.”

  23. F-22 is probably my favorite plane like Ik it’s not a classic or anything but I think it’s the closest thing I’ll see to a spaceship

  24. TIL, that Lockheed will not sell the F-22 to anyone other than the U.S. due to top secret technology.

F-35 is fair game, but also significantly less of a plane, particularly in air-to-air combat.

  25. Tower: “Raptor 123, execute a right 360 for traffic.”

    Pilot: “Done.”

  26. God I would kill for an incentive flight in one of those things

  27. You can totally tell they are limiting what it can do. It really looks like the plane can turn even tighter than this.

I’ve seen Mark Fingar’s work many times. He is a truly outstanding videographer

  29. It’s so cool seeing the bits of sky showing the split ailerons on the wings, like bird feathers in flight.

  30. Such a shame that the US wouldn’t let them export it since its stealth features were so super duper secret that it became too expensive and they just killed the whole program.

  31. Why was the f22 program cut?

  32. Did aerobatics for the first time ever yesterday in a PT-17 (soooooooft aerobatics) and I can now say that people in jets planes are absolutely insanely strong.

  33. The problem with videos like this is I don’t have any frame of reference for where the plane is or how fast it’s going. Not of these maneuvers have any scale for me to understand.

  34. We didn’t build enough of them

  35. Shame we may never see a conflict that could actually give this jet a chance to do what it was designed to do

  36. It’s pretty but I think I prefer old-school F16’s and F18’s

Agreed, the 22 is the baddest of the bad, but I still think the ole f-16 is the sexiest fighter of all. Shes so trim and beautiful. And still pretty potent.

  38. >if Mark Finger

    … If he what?

  39. Mark Twains questionable neighbor

  40. What’s the point of the j turn? Make enemy fly right by?

  41. Because fuck physics, that’s why!

  42. Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full.

  43. Steep turns follow by stall in the clean configuration.

This guy getting a check ride or what.

  44. So is the pilot doing a minimum radius turn with afterburners engaged? Does “minimum radius” just mean minimum radius for that particular speed or overall minimum? If overall minimum, couldn’t the pilot accomplish a smaller radius at a lower speed?
